What areas does Advanced Family Medicine serve?

We see patients from Kuna, Nampa, Boise, and surrounding Treasure Valley communities at our two office locations.

Is Advanced Family Medicine accepting new patients?

Yes, both our Kuna and Nampa offices are currently accepting new and returning patients of all ages. You can learn more on our new patients page.

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most major insurance plans. Visit our insurance page for details or call our office to verify your specific coverage before your visit.

Do you offer same-day or urgent appointments?

Yes. Our urgent care services provide same-day appointments for illnesses and injuries that can’t wait, giving you an alternative to a costly emergency room visit.

What are your office hours?

Both the Kuna and Nampa offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed for lunch and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

How long does a prior authorization take?

Prior authorizations for prescriptions typically begin within 4-5 days of receipt, and imaging authorizations begin 3-5 days after your visit. Insurance response time is usually another 3-5 days. Tricare, Medicare, and Humana referrals that require prior authorization can take approximately 4-6 weeks, so we recommend requesting refills and referrals as early as possible.

How do I request a prescription refill?

Refill requests can be made through your pharmacy, which will send the request directly to our office, or by calling (208) 922-3355 and speaking with our clinical staff.

Do you treat children as well as adults?

Yes. Our family medicine team provides age-specific care for newborns, children, adults, and elderly patients.

Do you offer well-woman and obstetric care?

Yes, we provide gynecologic care and obstetric care for patients throughout pregnancy and beyond.

Can I get a sports or school physical here?

Yes. We perform annual physicals, sports physicals, scout physicals, and DOT physicals for patients of any age.

What minor procedures can be done in-office?

Our providers perform several minor surgical procedures on an outpatient basis, including circumcision, vasectomies, IUD insertion and removal, foreign body removal, and skin surgery.

Do you offer Botox or other cosmetic treatments?

Yes, we offer cosmetic and therapeutic cosmetic injectables for patients interested in aesthetic care.

Do you treat skin conditions?

Yes, our dermatology services address a wide range of skin, hair, and nail concerns.

Do you see sports injuries?

Yes. Our sports medicine team evaluates and treats injuries and helps active patients recover and prevent re-injury.

What vaccines do you offer?
